Carrie Underwood Scores Three CMA Nominations

After just nabbing her fourth Grammy, Carrie Underwood is nominated for three Academy of Country Music awards. The exciting news came today, as Kellie Pickler stood beside Jessica Simpson, Julianne Hough, and LeAnn Rimes to make the announcement.
One of the categories in which Carrie is nominated is Entertainer of Year. If Carrie wins this, she will be only the 7th female to take the award; previous winners include Loretta Lynn in 1975, Reba McEntire in 1994 and most recently Dixie Chicks in 2000. Carrie is also nominated for Top Female Vocalist, and her video "Just a Dream" is nominated for Video of the Year. If she wins Top Female Vocalist, it will be the third consecutive year she has won the category.

Carrie Underwood Brings Home the Grammy Hardware

Ready to bring home some hardware, Carrie Underwood was looking lovely at the 2009 Grammy Awards held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday (February 8).

Wearing Zuhair Murad, the country darling kicked things off by picking up an early trophy for Best Female Country Vocal Performance for her hit song "Last Name".

During the course of the evening, Miss Underwood also finds herself nominated for Best Song in a Motion Picture for "Ever Ever After" from the movie "Enchanted".



If she pulls in the second nomination, it will make for a whopping five Grammys for the young country superstar.
