Angelina Jolie-Pitt Family Arrives in Japan

Two days after walking the red carpet at Sunday's Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were spotted -- with all six of their kids -- at Narita International Airport in Tokyo on Tuesday.

Angelina Jolie will play a spy who wears a lot of different disguises — including blond and brunet banged wigs — in the new spy thriller from director Phillip Noyce called "Salt."

The pitch meeting probably went something like this:

"Sure, we lost Tom Cruise. Def, it's a bummer. But look on the bright side. Just imagine 'Alias' meets 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith'!"

OK, maybe her costars in “Salt" won't be able to tell it's Angelina wearing a wig. But viewers won't have much trouble picking her out.

Who is the real Salt? Aha. That's what filmmakers want you to wonder.

"She's a character you never know," says producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura in USA Today of Jolie's spy accused (yawn) of being a double agent. "People who think they know the real her may or may not. Those who think they can tell whether she's in a disguise also may or may not. You're supposed to be kept guessing. She tells you her agenda, but are you supposed to believe it?"

Doesn't it sound like he's describing the real Angelina?

Tom Cruise backed out of the project last summer, and the film/role was rewritten for Jolie. The filmmakers subsequently changed the character's name from Edwin A. Salt to Evelyn A. Salt.

Frankly, I think they blew it when they lost Cruise and hired Jolie. I would have loved to see Tom in a blond wig.

Noyce, who made the 1990s-era Jack Ryan films ("Patriot Games," "Clear and Present Danger”) with Harrison Ford, promises USA Today that "Salt" will be "a reality-based spy movie with action set pieces as thrilling as the most crowd-pleasing movies of this genre."

Expect a little more sex appeal and a lot more wigs than Jack Ryan wore. Probably some racy lingerie, leather boots and a trench coat or two.

As hard as it might be to believe, Angelina Jolie does have her “off” days.

Monday night in Berlin, Jolie arrived at the Benjamin Button premiere with an ultra glam ‘do. Unfortunately, the ‘50s bouffant made the Changeling star look more matronly rather than sexy.

And, yes - your eyes are not deceiving you. Angelina also brought back another era by wearing just one Asprey earring. For all of you stuck in the ‘80s: Your time has come again!

Angelina Jolie Can’t Take It Anymore

We’re finding out that Angelina Jolie is just like the rest of us. The rest of us being the mums, whose kids and spouse drive them crazy on a daily basis.

She on the other hand can decide that the nannies really need to earn their money and head off to places unknown.

I wonder where she chooses to go. Does she go shopping? Nah, she doesn’t seem like the retail therapy kind of girl. Hmmm, maybe the shooting range. That seems like it would be right up her alley. Personally I would like some time in a sensory deprivation tank. AHHH, that sounds nice.

It seems that Angelina’s need to get away is taking its toll on her relationship with Brad, which is like saying they have their good days and bad days too.

They are just at the, please go away i don’t want to hear you breathe in the same room, stage of their relationship. It’s perfectly normal.

Yes, I know the photo is obviously older, (she still has her Billy Bob tattoo) but it conveyed the thought I was going for.

Jennifer Aniston vs. Angelina Jolie a box-office smackdown

It had to happen: Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston will finally get to duke it out.

At the box office.

Both actresses have big movies opening on Oct. 24: Angelina's "Changeling" and Jennifer's "He's Just Not That Into You."

But "Into You" also stars other appealing actors such as Scarlett Johansson, Ginnifer Goodwin, Drew Barrymore, her boyfriend Justin Long, Jennifer Connelly and Ben Affleck. Aniston plays Affleck's love interest in the adaptation of the bestselling relationship book that's also become part of the modern cultural vernacular. Director Clint Eastwood's period mystery, "Changeling," also stars John Malkovich and Amy Ryan, and already created Oscar buzz for Jolie at the Cannes Film Festival.

My bet? Jennifer will win the box-office battle and Angelina may end up with a little gold Oscar statue.

And the other thing to consider is that movie opening dates often change. Plus "Changeling" is not opening wide until Oct 31.
